INDIA – Education and assistance to the most vulnerable groups

We act in India, sustaining initiatives in Howrah district in the metropolitan area of Kolkata, supporting the development of about 150 people.

During 2012, Imaginario Social Foundation takes in charge two projects in which special attention is paid to widows, orphan and / or child workers and the Muslim minority, the most vulnerable groups in the region.

CTMC Project:

(Teresa Marquez Calcuta Community Kitchen) Locally known as Tikiapara Food Program, this community kitchen located in Tikiapara neighborhood provides basic food and a comprehensive monitoring for more than 70 women and children living in extreme poverty.

School Of Light: 

In this center, about 80 children learn the basic tools for access to the Schools of Government (public education). Here is taught literacy, math, English and art in two shifts, one during the morning and another in the evening, dedicated to child labourers.
